Great for an afternoon snack, breakfast or dessert…this is hands down the best keto chocolate shake I’ve ever had!
I have never been much of an ice cream girl…a few spoonful’s and I’m done! I could never eat an entire bowl of ice cream but I did love milkshakes and chocolate was always my go to flavor! The first time I made this chocolate keto shake my first thought was “this tastes just like melted Rocky Road ice cream”! Maddie and I were amazed at the flavor…and then proceeded to “fight” over the remaining yumminess in the blender…yep, its that good!
This shake is a great treat for keto or a low carb lifestyle! It’s packed with healthy fats, a good bit of potassium and magnesium, it’s dairy free and takes literally a few minutes to make. We use avocado to thicken our shakes and smoothies, they turn out so velvety and incredibly delicious, plus we get the benefits of healthy fats and the potassium! Pecans are also a great source of fat, magnesium and potassium! Maddie and I will sometimes drink this keto chocolate smoothie in the morning for breakfast when we are in in the mood for chocolate!
This rich and creamy Keto Chocolate Pecan Shake couldn’t be simpler to make…and did I mention it tastes like melted Rocky Road Ice Cream?! SO GOOD!! There are very few ingredients so be sure to use fresh pecans and a high-quality cocoa powder…it will make all the difference! I always use Rodelle Cocoa…it’s deep, rich, intense and amazing! Everything goes into a high-speed blender and goes for a spin…that’s it! If you like your shake a little icier, you can add more ice, just be aware that it subdues the intensity of the chocolate some.

- 1 1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 10 raw pecan halves
- 1/2 small avocado, about 2 Tbsp
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder I used dutch processed.
- 1/8 tsp. pink Himalayan Salt
- 2 1/2 tsp. Pyure Organic Stevia Blend
- 3-4 ice cubes
Combine all ingredients into the blender. Blend on high for 10-20 seconds or until smooth! Pour in a glass and enjoy!
