Jalapeno Hamburger Steak Bites with Avocado Ranch

These Jalapeno Stuffed Hamburger Steak Bites are a nod to one of my favorite keto friendly appetizers. Simple but so delish, these mini hamburger steaks are stuffed with onion and jalapeno and served up with a creamy, dairy free avocado ranch dipping sauce. This dish is a winner all the way around! Serve as an appetizer or for dinner, these steak bites will soon become a family favorite!

We don’t go out to eat very often but when we do get to leave the Ranch for dinner we each have our favorite spots!  My favorite local spot is at the café at the local feed store.  Ok…I say local but it’s a 45 minute drive from the house.  That being said, the reason I love it so much is because the food is so high quality.  They raise and serve their own beef which you know that take great pride in because it’s exceptional.  That’s why these Hamburger Steak Bites, while they sound simple, are simply out of this world.

Low Carb, Keto Friendly Jalapeno Hamburger Steak Bites

These steak bites are really miniature hamburger steaks stuffed with fresh jalapeno and onion, seasoned up with a few simple seasonings and seared off hot in a heavy skillet.  That crust from the sear is EVERYTHING!  Nothing fancy, just great fresh, high quality ingredients, that combined…just shine!  Serve them up with this dairy free avocado ranch…HEAVEN.

Dairy Free Avocado Ranch Jalapeno Hamburger Steak Bites

Being that there are not many ingredients here, make sure to use great quality beef for these hamburger steak bites…you will taste the difference.  I found Wagyu beef at my local market on sale for $5 a pound…so I know if I can find great quality beef out here in the middle of nowhere…you can too!

To season these hamburger steak bites up, I used the salt free and MSG free Fajita Seasoning from Bolner’s Fiesta Brand Seasonings.  I love that they make a fajita seasoning with no salt because it allows me to control the salt level of the dish and add my favorite pink Himalayan salt!  I also used a little garlic powder and pepper…easy peasy!

Since we are in the middle of a diary free challenge, I decided to keep these Hamburger Steak Bites cheese free, but you could add cheese to the mix or melt it on top if you’d like!  To follow threw with the dairy free theme, I created a dairy free Avocado Ranch dipping sauce that is the perfect complement to these spiced up steak bites.

Jalapeno Stuffed Hamburger Steak Bites

Ingredients

For the Avocado Ranch:

  • ½ cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp. hot sauce
  • 1/3 cup avocado
  • 1 tsp. creole mustard
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ Tbsp. dried parsley
  • ½ tsp. Italian seasoning

For the Steak Bites:

  • 1 pound ground beef 80/20
  • ¼ cup finely diced purple onion
  • 2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce
  • 1 fresh jalapeno seeded, deveined & finely diced
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • ¼ tsp. black pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. Fiesta Brand Salt Free Fajita Seasoning

Instructions

To prepare the Avocado Ranch:

  • Combine the first mayo and the next 8 ingredients into the blender and blend on high until smooth and combined. Stir in the dried herbs, pour into a container, cover and refrigerate until time to serve.

To prepare the Steak Bites:

  • In a medium mixing bowl, break apart the ground beef and add the next 7 ingredients. Gently combine together, mixing the seasoning and veggies throughout the meat. You do not want to over mix or over work the meat mixture or the steak bites will be dense. Divide the mixture evenly into 8 portions and gently roll each potion into a ball then flatten into about ¼ inch thick. Repeat for all 8 portions.
  • Preheat a heavy skillet over medium high heat. Add the patties 4 at a time and cook about 3 minutes per side or until they reach your desired doneness. You want a nice dark sear on the outside of the patties and a nice juicy, medium interior!
    Serve warm with Avocado Ranch!
